Stuck to my bed

The past two days I have been feeling this strange tight spasm wrapping my left hip all the the way up to my back. I have been dealing with this the past month and each day that I get over the pain I realize just how glad I am to live through the day without the pain and learning how to get myself out of it. Unbelievingly self-absorbed, how can I even be so caught up in my own pain and not see how the rest of the world around me gets through theirs.
Today, I woke up my body still aching from the whole week's work for "Promises..." show with the strange sharp pain around my hips down to my thighs. A tightness that i couldn't understand. Even standing up from my bed was achingly painful and walking brought even more pain. There was no way to get to the studio and find my way around my joints. This was one of those few occasions that one realizes, after years of abuse, that my body is definitely fucked. Now, I'm stuck to the bed with ice packs on my back every two hours on advise my helpful chiropractor. Dr. Hansen assures me that no I am not getting old but an inflamed nerve around my left hip that's making everything about my left side and to some parts of my right body tight and painful. After some good cracking, I was told to keep drinking water so I can pee better and relieve my pelvis of all the unnecessary burden of holding water. Funny, Joaquin has been diagnosed two days ago with UTI. Well, we know where he got the habit.
